Resolutions of the 2014 Constitution Party of Idaho

At Convention in Cascade, Idaho on August 2, 2014

TO LIMIT STATE SPENDING AND THE EXPANSION OF STATE GOVERNMENT

RESOLUTION 1-2014 Constitution Party of Idaho at Convention

Whereas, Idaho annual state spending is projected to increase at an annual rate of 6.9%; and

Whereas, Idaho’s Real Gross State Product (GSP) is only increasing at an annual rate of 2.9%; therefore

Resolved, the Constitution Party of Idaho insists Idaho state government spending growth, whether in whole or in part thereof, shall be limited to the Idaho Real GSP average growth rate, using year 1997 as the baseline.

RESOLUTION 2-2014 Constitution Party of Idaho at Convention

Whereas, over the past 35 years, the Leading Index for Idaho has expressed resistance at 4.8%; and

Whereas, Idaho Real Median Household Income remains mired in a decline exceeding five (5) contiguous years; therefore

Resolved, the Constitution Party of Idaho insists that in no case shall Idaho state government annual spending growth, whether in total or in part thereof, exceed 4.8%, as expressed in the Leading Index.

RESOLUTION 3-2014 Constitution Party of Idaho at Convention

Whereas, Idaho’s public debt is expected to increase an additional 17%, to $1.14 billion by year 2019; and

Whereas, by 2015 American markets will face rising interest rates; therefore

Resolved, the Constitution Party of Idaho insists all public debt be paid down, and that no additional public debt above the current aggregate liability of $6.8 billion be assumed by the People of Idaho.
